I basically binged the show up until this point. So I was very wary of spoilers and the Helly is actually Helena reveal really caught me by surprise . (Because I am just not good at picking these kind of things up. But once revealed, so many things clicked into place for me. Things were feeling off)

Can’t wait for next week. I am so curious how the reintegration is going for Marc. I felt even this episode there were some glimpses of Marc Scott in Marc.S… If they keep the format, it will be an outie-episode next week. I am hoping for more Irving. I am wondering what he is up to on the outside. And can’t wait to see the effect and consequences of Helly being Helena on Marc and the team. Considering the reintegration, that might already be touched upon next episode.

I’m jealous. This episode was great but being pretty sure already that Helena was faking being Helly the reveal didn’t hit like it should have.

I think the clues were too obvious to ignore, but they also sprinkled just enough doubt in to keep us guessing until now.

I knew from the moment in episode 1 when she started her story about waking up in an apartment, and going back now to rewatch that was also the moment that Irv became suspicious.

When i saw the mark clone in the first 10 minutes of the episode, I thought, ‘this one looks pretty trippy, I bet it’d be fun to watch a little stoned’

    And then it was

He really seemed reintegrated. His character seemed to act like innie Irv when milkshake was around but not anywhere else. He seemed like he was on a mission.

The last we saw of Irving last episode he asked if the other woman knew where the spooky door was. He already had suspicions, perhaps he did learn more.

The “hang in there” poster was in the security room during the overtime contingency scenes, which gives a bit more context and intention to Irv’s final words

Glad that we got conformation on the Helly is Hellen theory rather than have them drag it out 'till the season finale. This episode was great!

I can’t help but wonder why they bothered with this crazy expedition in the first place since it seems dangerous and not productive, but we’ll maybe see next episode how they got here. We saw some really big rooms in the Severed floor, so this might still all be underground?

Also did we just get conformation that they’re cloning people?

I think Helena Eagan wanted to really connect with Mark. When she is reviewing the footage of Helly & Mark kissing there is a sadness and desire. Helena has never had such opportunities. Helena wanted what Helly had.

Pretty sure those were cardboard cutouts, some had little motors to move the arm a bit.

If you look closely you can just make out that the figures don’t have faces. They look like animatronic mannequins

Lumon is a cult and the “real life” Lumon people probably believe that it’s a spiritual path.

Also did we just get conformation that they’re cloning people?

I think the current implications are that Lumon is cloning people but they’re not there, yet. I think Mark’s wife’s burned body was probably the clone and Miss Casey is the severed original.

The severance chip probably has the ability to do other stuff as well, like projecting the CGI “clones” into the employees’ brains and trigger that dream.

Maybe severance chips can influence senses and induce illusions.

That’s what I’m betting on. For clones, the producers could have just filmed short scenes with the real actors but they chose to recreate the likenesses in PlayStation3-era CGI. That must be a decision to make them look similar but not real.

Actually the same for the TV cart - did you notice how there was a shot of the same spot about 30 seconds before that had no TV cart there? My guess is the same - somehow the ability to project and even interact with things is more of a transmission. In fact, perhaps the entirety of the severed floor could be that sort of recreation. The only clue I can think of to the alternative is that we did see workers actually installing walls for mdr if my memory serves…

Damn this show is getting better and better! This Episode in the outside looks stylistically very different but yet srangely similar to the ones inside.

All the twists and turns which get revealed in the last quarter, very cool!

This episodes differentness reminded me of another one of my favorite shows which changer the style frequently, Community.

Who would have known that Ben Stiller had so much creativity in him, I love it! Can’t wait for next Friday!

I was thinking this too! I think it was how inside the office has the harsh “lumon” escent lighting and the bright white snow.

This group activity was coveted as fuck.

Maybe it was a simulation, because, why would they let Innies roam free in an uncontrolled environment.

Irving will be forever in our hearts.

At the same time now that we know that they can manipulate their vision and thus can project their twins, who’s to say that the whole innie thing is not just in everyones brains and they just use their brains like you would use computers and the whole thing what we see is what is a manifestation of the brainfunctions when they’re used to do those calculations. Perhaps the elevator is no elevator at all.

Seems like this season the episodes are “severed.” It’s been innies for one ep, then outies for the next. I think we’ll get outies for the next episode and see what’s happening there.

My guess is that reintegration works for outie Mark, but innie Mark doesn’t get the full benefit yet. He still had something breaking through though, when he saw Gemma in place of “Helly” for a sec there.

I can’t wait for next week lol
