The Kansas Legislature has formed its very own Senate Committee on Government Efficiency (COGE instead of DOGE) and has asked residents to submit their ideas on making government leaner, meaner and more attuned to the needs of South African-born billionaires! Ha, ha. Just joking a bit there, folks. I’m sure that the bigwigs behind the Kansas committee have your best interests at heart, just like those teens and twentysomethings poking around in D.C. buildings.
Boy, these conservatives sure pretend to care about government efficiency.

Kansas, the bastion of government efficiency. Maybe they can figure out why the red states suck up so much Federal money.
Of course, my state would be following in this madness…Ugh, what an ugly move on their part. This is a big yikes that I’ve been opposing.
I personally find it pretty annoying that no one seems to realize Elon and the whole damn Dark Enlightenment behind him is referring to the Doges of Venice and not the meme.
That system is their goal, or at least a version they would like. The recreation of city states ruled by merchant/capitalist princes with near absolute authority, or at least as much as their mercenary army can enforce. They’ll take whatever form is convenient, even nationalism, as long as they get to be absolute rulers of their little fiefdoms.
