If so what do they call it?
I feel like I am going crazy, because I thought for sure it exists and can’t seem to find one.
Basically looking for an all in one device where you can plug in HDMI, USB, etc. to make it easier for guests to present.
Sounds like you’re after a Conference Table Connectivity Box.
Edit: you’ll need to route a separate box for usb data. If it’s a long distance look into fiber optic cabling.
What types of inputs do you need? So far all I can find in Australia is 1 to many all HDMI. Worst case scenario you might need a bunch of speciality whatever to HDMI adaptors and feed them all into a HDMI switch.
Does it need to be plugged in? There are some really great phone casting/mirroring apps that do the job well
Would a docking station work?
Curious too
Hmm… I might need to try that. I honestly don’t know
I use my audio receiver (Denon) and CEC to do this. It automatically switches to whatever input is active.
USB as in USB-C?
If the display is HDMI in, you can get HDMI auto/priority switchers. IE, will switch to the highest active input.
Then get a USB-C cable to HDMI, and a plain HDMI cable for the other input.
That covers USBC & HDMI.If you want something more fancy,

Or,

There are many ways to do this. It’s still in development AFAIK, some devices might support USB with the capabilities of an older HDMI throughput but an HDMI cannot handle both data in and data out.
HDMI data rates go up to 48 Gbps, you can’t match that with most USB.
Search USB Hub with HDMI and see what comes up.
Is this for home or professional applications?
Its for a family members small business where they have an event room they rent out from time to time. His partner pissed off the guy who did their AV setup, so now they are asking me.

https://tvone.com/products/video-scalers/c2-2755?ic=1
https://www.analogway.com/products/quickvu-4k
So all three of these are AV Professional units, the Black Magic is a bit more live event/live venue focused. The TVOne is more conference room focused. The Analogway is kinda hybrid of the two but much more expensive.
I’ve used the ATEM Mini and it works great. It’s like as dog simple as you can possibly get a couple of buttons to push and everything just fucking works.
