This is your regularly scheduled reminder that millennials are adults in their 30s/40s. They are the people who grew up in the very beginning of the internet era. This meme is likely trying to criticize Gen Z and still failing to do so

IPA’s are very much a millennial thing. Myself and most other genZ’s I know usually drink flavored malt beverages or craft beers on the lighter end of the bitterness scale like pilsner’s. And I’ve noticed IPA’s being less and less prevalent at my local bar taps as a result.

IPAs are still huge around me, but there are way more citrus and fruity ones that don’t taste like straight hops these days.

New England IPA’s baby! I always tell people to try em if they say they don’t like IPA’s. They usually mean they don’t like the West Coast style.

Yeah, getting away from the hops helps.

I always either go for the light stuff for casual drinking, or if I want a heavy beer I go straight for the porter or stout anyway. A brewery not too far from me makes a chocolate stout that’s really good.

I’m also a gen z that doesnt like IPAs. The bitterness is one aspect but besides the terrible flavor, the main reason I don’t like IPAs is because theyre so heavy. It’s not a good beer for sitting by the pool/beach/bbq because it’s not refreshing.

I’m sure other people have different philosophies for when they go to the bar but when I’m at designated drinking/party place I want to be able to drink consistently throughout my time there, so a lighter beer is better for that too instead of one IPA that makes me feel like I ate a whole loaf of bread, I can have a few lagers and maintain a solid buzz the whole time without feeling like shit and having bitter IPA breath.

Dunno it’s a bit odd. IPA’s were/are definitely trendy among millenials over the last decade. The other part of the meme is just completely unrelated it seems
