Lemmy is where you realize the place you were born in is evil and that you probably need to deconstruct some of the ways you think about the world because you grew up in an evil place. No one is calling you evil unless you brazenly support the evil thing
There’s plenty of chauvinism flying around Lemmy in all directions, saying it doesn’t happen is simply incorrect.
I wouldn’t necessarily call it a community wide problem.
Places are evil? How so?
They kill people and make their lives miserable for their own benefit. Places such as countries I mean, I was just playing into the wording of the post.
Places are not governments, what is so hard to understand about that?
I think i get your point, but if we extend governments to nations, then nations are places in the sense that they are a geographical object. Claiming that nation can be / are evil is another debate, but supposing it is possible, it would then be only imprecise and not wrong to claim that places are evil, for certain types of places could then be (and it’s probably this type of place which is a nation/country that is targeted here)
I literally just seen comments of people calling to genocide americans because eViL nAzIs but ok
Just yesterday I had this. Link below:
That’s bullshit. I literally had someone just yesterday say they would die to indiscriminately tie Americans to trees and chop off their dick and put it in their mouth. Time and time again the vitriol against people, like myself who want nothing more than to burn it to the ground, is over the top.
Edit: why the down votes?
That post was a hypothetical comment about if the US became an invading force in Canada. It wasnt about ‘ordinary citizens who want to burn it to the ground’. If you care so much maybe go out and do something about what your government is doing.
Ok. I’ll just do a little government reformation Monday and Friday it will all be fixed.
He did not distinguish that in the post and never even bothered to clarify. I’d say rose tinted glasses but I honestly think you no think good.
Use some reading comprehension. I think they still teach that in US schools, though maybe not for much longer.
