Idk but I thought it was pretty funny to put Definitely-Not-Just-Naruto-and-Bleach directly under Naruto and Bleach. I’m hoping the pattern continued.

Oof jujutsu kaisen and demon slayer are pretty different from Naruto and bleach. They would at least need to swap positions but even then the story lines and animation styles are pretty different.

So you don’t think the good hearted meathead with a powerful demon trapped inside him learning to use Jutsus from a handsome grey haired pervert with his edgy but brilliant emo friend and standoffish Girl Character has anything to do with Naruto?

You’d have been better off talking about Demon Hunter alone imo. At least they didn’t just copy and paste character types to tell a story about a naturally talented demon hunting swordsman learning to fight with his spiritual power to protect the world of humanity as he climbs the ranks of the Soul Society Demon Slayer Corps. Oh wow, our hero had secret ties to the elite of the Corps the whole time!!! No way???

But you’re right, they did change a lot with plotting, I’m just comparing the overall premise, at least for Demon Slayer. It’s not like that time Bleach just straight up stole a plotline from Yu Yu Hakusho for a filler arc.

It sounds like you really enjoy these shows and totally don’t feel like you’ve wasted your time watching them because the premise is similar.

That’s like saying that Demon Slayer is similar to Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure because they both use breathing techniques to harness the power of the sun to defeat man-eating undead. It’s technically true, but that doesn’t mean the experience of watching them is remotely similar.

Didnt Sakamoto Days already end? Hard to be next gen.

Edit: it was just on break last March when I last looked at it!

I couldn’t get into the anime for Sakamoto days, just felt kinda lame, never touched the manga, I seem to have missed kagurabachi … I’ll give it a look in. As far as I’m concerned Shangri-La frontier and solo levelling were the two standouts from 2024 along with dan-da-dan

Solo Leveling has been straight heat so far. The manhwa is also very good; It’s one of the few comics that has a permanent spot on my e-reader (cuz comics take up a lot more space than regular books…)

Im loving Shangri-La Frontier. Its one of the few gaming anime I’ve seen that actually gets gaming (and gamer culture) right

it’s still going, but the anime largely isn’t living up to the manga and the hype has already mostly died.

it’s not bad, i enjoy it. it’s just not incredible either.

it’s like a mid budget average production quality anime for a manga famed for its action sequences.

a bit like one punch man season 2. not necessarily bad, but certainly disappointing compared to the source.
