Instantly recognized as.
The NYT is always late to the scoop because they have to get told which way to spin it first.
Let me be 100% clear. If America ever annexes Canada, by military force, by economic force, or through normal American CIA style manipulation, they will have a violent terrorist situation on their hands the likes of which they could never conceive.
Ask England how easy it was to handle the IRA, now change that ocean-moat into the longest land border in the world.
Idk, given all the time we’ve spent in the mid east I suspect we can in fact conceive of it quite accurately: It’d be a total fucking disaster for us, even without a third of the country actively supporting y’all.
FWIW, If the fuckknuckle actually tries anything they’ll have to roll over a great many american protesters before they ever get to the border. So not all that helpful, my fat ass ain’t gonna stop a tank, but hey solidarity!
Man, I live on the US-Canada border (opposite side of a Great Lake, but still…) on one hand, I don’t want Canada launching retaliatory strikes against my house. But on the other hand, would you consider invading us? I hate living in trumplandia.
Let me be 100 percent clear.
- Canada is never becoming 51 state.
- Sure you will lol Canadian up the ra.
If Canada were to become the 51st state (never going to happen but hypothetically), wouldn’t it swing heavily toward “blue?” Would republicans ever win another election if Canadians had to vote in US elections?
trump just wants to exploit Canada’s resources, obviously-same with Greenland’s and the Panama Canal. But as usual, he doesn’t think things through.
That’s assuming they get fair representation, which they won’t. The Republican Party would justify it as Canadians being outsiders who “don’t understand our politics” and shouldn’t be given that much power and influence over future elections until they’re ready (which is never), and the Democrats would be able to do fuck-all about it with their moral grandstanding preventing them from using the same delay and filibustering tactics that were constantly used against them.
