Honestly, I’m not sure why people are all bringing it up as a scare tactic. Who are we afraid of? Russia? They’re a capitalist dictatorship. China? They’re a capitalist oligarchy. Cuba? Communist dictatorship, but utterly not threatening. N. Korea? Centrally planned, state owns nearly everything except the farms, so… socialist/communist, I guess? Not very likely candidate to be spreading communism.
