Fur isn’t even close to being necessary, wool, cotton and plastic/chemicals is more than good enough.

plastic is not unnecessary - it is genuinely wonderful, we just have to learn to use it only for stuff which is meant to stay, and not just single use and throw
Plastic based clothing sheds micro plastics over time, especially when you wash them.
Maybe plastic has its use cases, but it should be a lot more narrow and contained. If we could use alternatives that don’t last forever it would be a lot better.
That’s fucking great news. If there ever was a time I wish Finland copied something from Sweden, this is it.
