but the stadium is barely paid for… the stadium tax only ended in 2020… and the team wants more money? hundreds of millions of dollars more put into it? maybe they should be paying more rent if the Park District can’t fund itself… i dunno. yea, the team adds to the local economy, but teams using that as an extortion tactic across the country to get new buildings or extensive renovations paid for on the public’s dime is getting a bit old.
