Okay this is great but to be clear: 3.5% of the population engaged consistently and effectively have never failed to create change. Even if next time thrice this number turns out (which would be a little under 4.5% of Americans) that alone wouldn’t cause change unless they engage in effective resistance (for example a protest with no end date). These numbers do, however, mean the resistance can move to the next step of real, sustained action.

There weren’t any campaigns that had failed after they had achieved 3.5% participation during a peak event

Let’s shoot for 3.5% and then see what else to shoot for next.

Two interesting books on this phenomenon:

Mark Penn: Microtrends, the small forces behind tomorrow’s big changes

Malcolm Gladwell: The Tipping Point, How little things can make a big difference.

Both talk about how it takes a surprisingly small number of people to make big changes. The rise of MAGA is a perfect example. We need to apply the same strategies to take America back, and viciously purge MAGA from our government and nation

Well I’ll be damned. I heard rumors.

They are serious about that coalition member thing - if you meet one, no you didn’t. Though I don’t imagine they identify themselves as coalition.

How do you become part of that coalition? Idk they won’t talk about it. I’m actually pretty certain that I asked enough questions that I’m probably not going get an invitation anytime soon.

I assume they operate like that to keep to their non-violent mission.

That’s why I was all like iffy on my number verifications, it was a long grape vine I heard it through.
