The main reason you might not want to do this is that they are designed to prioritize longevity and functional delivery of information over image quality and usability. They’re not good for games or making movies look good. They work, and will be more durable, but a consumer tv will look better and have more options for changing the image. Also if you play video games the latency isn’t great.
