The U.S. military is moving an aircraft carrier strike group and military aircraft closer to Israel as a show of support, and will also begin supplying Israel with munitions and other military supplies immediately, said Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

Austin said Sunday afternoon that he had directed the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group to go to the Eastern Mediterranean. The group includes the carrier, a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser, and four Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers. “We have also taken steps to augment U.S Air Force F-35, F-15, F-16, and A-10 fighter aircraft squadrons in the region,” he said. “In addition, the United States government will be rapidly providing the Israel Defense Forces with additional equipment and resources, including munitions. The first security assistance will begin moving today and arriving in the coming days."

“Strengthening our joint force posture, in addition to the materiel support that we will rapidly provide to Israel, underscores the United States’ ironclad support for the Israel Defense Forces and the Israeli people,” said Austin. “My team and I will continue to be in close contact with our Israeli counterparts to ensure they have what they need to protect their citizens and defend themselves against these heinous terrorist attacks.”

Palestine wants the extermination of Israel. There’s no just leaving Palestine alone while Israel exists.

Israel agreed to the UN proposal for a Palestinian state and Israeli state, with Jerusalem being internationally administered.

Palestine rejected it, and the second the British mandate expired, attacked the Israelis with the help of Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq with the goal of exterminating them entirely.

I mean if I was violently oppressed for decades I’d be insatiable too.

My point is this has been a long time coming for Israel. They’ve been doing fucked up things for decades and surprise surprise it’s created a group of people who want nothing more than to see Israel burning.

Maybe they should have accepted the two independent state proposal instead of attempting to eliminate all the Jews in the region.

Israel accepted the two state proposal by the UN which gave Palestinian Arabs all the land they currently claim and made Jerusalem a neutral territory. Palestine responded by having Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq invade and try to exterminate all Israeli Jews like they did in the Muslim conquest.

They all got their asses handed to them. Over and over again every time they’ve started shit.

Imagine China splitting the US in two, and giving half of it to foreigners to make a nation on. I don’t think the US government would be happy about that, and that new nation doesn’t even have to be the kind that tries to expand every millisecond, it just needs to exist for there to be a conflict.

Palestine as a single nation didnt exist before the British mandate. It was territory owned by the Ottoman Empire after the conquered it from the Arab Mamluks in 1516. It was divided into 5 different sanjaks under the ottomans too, not a single district.

It’s a lot more like the division of Germany after WWII than anything. Or the breakup of Yugoslavia or the Soviet Union.

Jews have been living there for thousands of years, even during the periods of Muslim rule, and have as much right to call it home as well.
