The telling part for me was when I was in a very high stress job that had so many people depending on me being there everyday and working my arse of and stressing the fuck out about it night and day.
Then I got hit by a car while cycling home from work.
I was in hospital for a couple of weeks and it was months before I could return to work.
Guess what?
The business kept running.
Shit still got done.
When I returned, everyone was still as stressed as fuck, thinking they were vital to the business.
None of us were.
TLDR: Even when you don’t think you are in a bullshit job, you probably are.
