Constantly see people online talk about “when the robber comes thru my door” or whatever, and some of it is memes, but a lot of it is just people legit discussing what the “best weapon” to fight robbers breaking into your house at night would be - Giving it so much thought as if it is a legitimate concern. So is it? Does it happen a lot?

The police said that it was likely a serial rapist that was breaking into homes. Luckily everyone was home at the time. He creeped in and peeked through my roommates door. My roommate thought it was me sleepwalking and walked over and he slammed the door closed. When my roommate realized it wasn’t me, he did a loud shout and a few seconds later I hear a loud thud. I get out the bedroom door to see my roommate bleeding from the head. He was injured in the scuffle but the guy ran off. I ended up leaving the state a few weeks later because it was too hard to feel safe. This was in Norfolk Virginia.

Thanks for asking, that means a lot to me.

Yeah glad you’re safe, happy to ask, felt like I was being a little nosy, but we are great for you comrade. Hope you’re free of incursions with serial rapist from here on it, that’s super sketchy. Sounds like they never found the guy?
