I haven’t followed super closely but didn’t he have a concussion recently that conveniently aligns with when he started playing worse? Feels like the bye week should get him healthy and back to playing well?

It aligned closer to Trent being injured and the OL folding like wet toilet paper (Deebo being out also doesn’t help).

The concussion was in the second game of the three game skid, though he’s generally played decent over that time period, with just some inopportune mistakes at bad times

Good players don’t make excuses. Yes, I believe he was concussed vs the Vikings but he was healthy vs Cincinatti and still had 2 picks…if I am gonna praise him for great plays…gotta keep that energy for the bad

Literally. I know there’s naysayers on the Niners. But at least the Trey Lance trade is forgotten about right lol

The 49ers are really an interesting experiment right now. Usually teams that give up so much to trade up and draft a QB don’t pan out so well, panthers and redskins come to mind. So Brock did save them from falling into the abyss like them, yes. I would argue, and yeah it hasn’t been proven yet so it’s just my take, that he really is just gonna keep them where they were before the whole lance saga. A contender who definitely could win it all given the right circumstances, but their window definitely has an end in sight. Once his rookie deal is up, I don’t know how they could keep such a roster together the way it is now, with the mix of aging stars. I’ll be interested to see what they do going forward to revamp the team, but I feel like the window is the next 2 years to get number 6

He’s gotta be smarter like jimmy g, who stepped out of the back of the endzone knowing it would negate the pick 6 he was about to throw

If we ended up losing that game because of the 2 points instead of 7, it would’ve been the biggest 5D chess move ever

Or the time Kittle fumbled in the playoff game against us and it got returned for a TD. Yet it got wiped away cause Jimmy G throw a pass to the flat directly into the dirt. Just smart Thinkin by him

Just once I want to hear “Honestly I blame everyone else. All my coaches, my o-line, the wide receivers… even the opposing defense. Fucking bullshit.”

I think he’s smart QB and plays quite well in the given system. Mistake or turnover can happen even with elite QBs.

Everything you said and it’s only his second season. He’s a solid qb who still makes rookie mistake. His decision making is still better than most starting qbs despite the picks.

Even if it isn’t your fault, as the QB you take accountability for it. Passer rating includes INTs for a reason. Even if they aren’t the QB’s fault completely, it doesn’t really matter, because accountability is required for success at any level, and when you look at film you’ll discover all of the individual breakdowns that lead to a play failing. But when it comes to handling the criticism, this is what leaders do.

Cock Sturdy’s play has been pretty limp the past few weeks.

I have a feeling he’ll go pretty hard again soon

He consistently says the right things, and more often than not does the right things. He just needs to clean it up the rest of the time

I don’t know if Kirk would stay healthy in SF given our QB curse under Shanny and him coming off an ACL at 36…

      It doesn’t make sense
