Context: The CIA intern picked the wrong tweet to unleash the bot farm on. It’s totally natural to talk about Iran in some tweet about El Salvador.

I wonder if this got triggered by “10,000 soldados irán en San Salvador”. No intern mistake, just a homonym.
That would be the funniest case and so I will it in my mind to be true.
There’s gonna be a workshop on regex in Langley this weekend
and iran, iran so far a wayyyyyyyyy
iran, i couldn’t get awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
iran-all-night-and-da-ay
That shouldnt be possible, this mistake can only be made by humans, to computers these are completely different wordsWhomst among us has never forgotten to ensure that a query is case sensitive?
Its not case sensitivity a and á are just different letters to the computerdepending on how you do string comparisons they can be. See Java’s Collator class.
That would be a great point, if “they will go” and “Iran” weren’t both spelled with an á in Spanish.
They are exactly the same spelling.
I had no idea, i guess i will take the L then
