I’ve heard it explained that “hey” used to be more of an urgent way to get someone’s attention, rather than a casual “hello” like it is now, so it sounded rude to some older folks.

      You identified yourself as a bigot. You are intentionally and dishonestly ignoring the point of the shooter comparison. You introduce the negative behavior into society and are upset that as a direct response to that negative behavior people respond back with it directed at you. Don’t be a callous bigot and people will not be intolerant to you callous bigotry. Not being a bigot is not some high horse stance, its being a decent human.
