Stagnant wage, ($2800/mo in some places) apartment rent price surpassing the moon and on it’s way to Jupiter and Saturn, inflation + greedflation exceeding 20% in the last few years, and so many more.

    "Uh, guys… this is rather concerning… " - Macy’s and Costco.

“You don’t say?” - Everyone else

Here my anecdote, the entire economy in the last few years sent my ENTIRE family into a panic, I am literally setting up a mini-farm that is 100% automated with farm bot to sustain my family (you can check https://farm.bot , everything there is open source and they provide a package for pre-built stuff if you want it.) We literally started working on building a multi-generational housing and getting our power off-grid, because we can easily see a writing on the wall with this economy.

    1. Unregulated Stock Market (As much as SEC want to claim otherwise, you could try and hedge your wealth, but I really doubt you can make 20%+ interest a year when combined greedflation and inflation, both of which are misreporting.)
    2. Health Insurance cost $600/mo for young folks and $1400/mo for old folks and that with minimal coverage.
    3. Water pollution (Oil Fracking)
    4. Food Price instability and greed

I could go on and on for all of the problems, if you’re not setting up for off-grid living already, I really wish you the best of luck.

Doesnt it serve those who publish this type of news to keep us fearful to have us coming back and reading more? It even states at one point in the article: Now, many are shifting their discretionary spending to travel and other services they were not able to find during the pandemic. Most should read this as money is being spent else where not that it is spent at all. Even the OP in the post has that weasel word ‘may’. Our economies are so intertwined and so complicated no one understands it. We act like our elected officials or in other regimes officials, have some ability to fully understand the outcome of there actions but they have no idea. They make a policy change and hope for the best. This to me implies those companies are just not meeting sales but money is still flowing.

As bad as things are you should ask yourself: Am I not able to put food on the table? Do I have a roof over my head? Am I able to get transportation? If the answers above are no, then I would recommend coordination action with others to make a change. Find unattended land, build structures, start farming, be ready to ward off attackers.
