Check out the newer cards with NFC where you can swipe them across wirelessly. It takes some getting used to, to figure out where that sweet spot is, but it’s awesome. I used to have the problem of my cards getting scratched but not anymore.
If your bank/credit company doesn’t support them, see if you can use your phone instead. I use Apple Pay all the time which has been so much better too. Not having to pull out my wallet and instead just double tap my watch or double tap my phone and look at it.
Are you talking about tap to pay? My credit union, and all of my credit cards don’t use that feature unfortunately. I’ve used Google Pay a few times, but I have privacy concerns with that service.
Yeah that’s it! My credit union doesn’t support it either but I was able to add to Apply Pay anyway.
I get the privacy concerns though. I feel a little safer with it because it further blocks the actual card and the card’s sensitive numbers from prying eyes while out in public. But I can get how you’d feel trusting the corporation, whether it be Apple or Google or Samsung with it in their digital possession.
All of my wife’s cards have it, and I’d say probably 90% of the POS terminals support it, but somehow none of my cards have the chip. My credit union said they’re working on it, but they’re a tiny little place, so that’s understandable. What I don’t understand is why my Capitol One and Discover cards don’t have them. Maybe they offer it now and I just need to request a new card, but that sounds too much like work.

Coincidentally I trust them in the exact order you listed, from highest trust, to lowest trust.
It’s so funny hearing Americans talk about a feature that has been standard in Canada for almost a decade.
Like, we are usually the ones way behind with Uber and various other similar technology services. So not sure what happened on this one.
