Ehhh, I’m not so sure. The Clown had a knack for dragging those people who never voted or were nonpolitical, prior to 2016, into voting booths. Without him do they care to vote?

Good point. Still, I worry that most dangerous thing to happen to the country next year is for someone to win with Trump’s policies, but with a higher degree of competence and professionalism.

It’s hard to say if his base will see and get engaged enough to vote for that. Culture Warrior DeSantis seems to get them pretty excited.

Exactly. DeSantis is what Trump could’ve been, if Trump had an attention span of longer than 15 seconds, was able to stick to a script and speak like a politician, or had any strategy or vision for his presidency beyond doing what Fox & Friends and his KGB handlers told him to.

Because DeSantis knows how to be a competent and effective politician, he’s infinitely more dangerous than Trump ever was.

I’m not too worried about DeSantis, honestly. He’s a horrible orator with no charisma. With any luck, he won’t energize people in nearly the same way.

If he doesn’t get the GOP nomination then I definitely encourage them to write him in during the general election.
