I’m g can’t believe after a decade or so of just the naff MMO and mobile nonsense we’re getting proper Trek games again.
Resurgence was a great effort at creating a interactive Trek series so fingers crossed it starts a trend quality wise.
I still have the discs for Star Trek: Armada and Armada II. If it’s anything like Stellaris it’ll be great but full of expensive DLC.
Looks interesting, but they could a paid a bit more for a better narrator.
Eh? For the trailer?? This 45 second announcement trailer with no game content has all the budget it deserves imo. Such a forgetful scene in general yeah? A generic cutscene of the Borg dropping their catch phrase on a nameless Starfleet captain is almost cringeworthy levels of basic and would only be more so if they hired good actors. I think it’s fine though, all they’re doing here is saying “this project exists, look it’s the Borg! stay tuned” instead of something with any aims to impress us.
I don’t want to agree with you but I do. It’s Paradox so I’m guardedly hopeful.
Yeah I mean I love Paradox and I love the Star Trek universe. Those two things have the potential to be amazing together and I think whoever was in charge of this trailer understood that. A quick cutscene saying “We’re doing a Star Trek thing guys” as an announcement and then off to work on the game.
Paradox are only publishing, and not developing this, sadly.
I hope it’s good as I’d love a proper Star Trek 4X, but we shall see.
It’ll have to be at least as good as the Star Trek: New Horizons mod for Stellaris. Which is a large task in itself.
I loved Birth of the Federation, so I hope it’s like that.
I just hope it isn’t an Epic exclusive like that other Star Trek game that got announced recently.
I don’t think Paradox has typically done that Epic exclusive BS
