silver spoons TV show theme song
growing pains TV show theme song
And why don’t people sing like this anymore? It’s human & affectionate & healthy & beautiful.
Suicide is Painless - The theme song for MASH
I bought the MSP album for that one.
I would also say the Bosom Buddies intro, but that’s just Billy Joel’s My Life recorded by someone else.
- The Love Boat
- WKRP in Cincinnati
- Welcome Back, Kotter
- Chico and the Man
Welcome Back, Kotter’s theme is terrific. And it’s so easy to get stuck in your head… “Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.”
many folks don’t know that Alan Thicke (the dad from Growing Pains) was prolific in this area having written upwards of 40 television theme songs from that era
Robin’s dad?
Yup! and although Alan is a fantastic man, for whatever reason he’s not particularly proud of his son Robin, apparently Robin has been troublesome or didn’t live up to his full potential or to his father’s expectations or something.
And anyway that smoldering super hot song that Robin had a few years ago was written by Bruno Mars so it wasn’t really even Robin’s song. So when I wonder why his dad is not particularly proud of him, I can only speculate that he hasn’t been much of a success.
Three’s Company
Soap.
It was Arrested Development only 26 years earlier.
Sanford and Son
I listed that one too. Quincy Jones wrote it. It’s called “Streetbeater.” It was so popular that he released the long version commercially.
Twin Peaks! I know, it’s '90…
One time in the office, several of us kept rotating our ringtones through 70’s and 80’s shows. Funny hearing Airwolf or The Dukes of Hazzard bust out in the hallway.
I worshipped this show.
Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends theme.
It was a really stupid super-team, because you could immobilize two of them just by getting them close to each other and it was a three-person team.
