Jesus literally lived in Palestine alongside the Jewish community of the country, and criticised the powerful religious leaders of the time. Modern day Jesus would be much more likely to be one of the Christians being bombed in Palestine or spat on in Israel, than to support the Israeli state.
“Much more likely” betrays the absolute certainty I have that a God of mercy and love would never ignore the cries of the violently oppressed. Whether or not you subscribe to or live your life in accordance with something beyond the material, the idea that a good God is supporting the violent ethnostate is laughable.
