“Family bribed incentivized to move to Indiana”
Man, wish Indiana wasn’t such a risk for me politically. I’d love to move back to Bloomington IN. I miss that public library so much and the Hoosier national forest is beautiful
Yeah, I hate the direction we’ve gone. I’ve stuck around because of my job, family and friends, it’s disappointing to see so many people leaving because of the policies because it just strengthens the hate. But I totally get it.
Yeah, I get it. I’m sorry it’s that way. Indiana is great, except for where it’s not - and where it’s not great is really bad.
I lived in Indianapolis for several years. I loved it there but the backwards politics of the rest of the state really ruined things for me.
100% - if it was just me, I’d be fine but can’t do that to my partner : / - miss you Monroe and Brown county
This is happening in other places as well. I have a friend who took up an offer to move to a blue state. The state paid them more than $5k to move, but I don’t remember how much more. They tried to convince my spouse and I and it just… was not worth it.
Plus, I think it’s good to try to fight the good fight.
Mad respect homie
You guys are getting paid?!
i think is s good thing to incentivize people to move out of the huge cities. There are definitely good things about living in a non urban area but the politics of most of those places is just so horrible. And it’s also kinda crazy to me how half the radio stations are some combination of right wing talk and Christian
Will say, one of the best pirate radio stations I ever listened to was based out of Indiana. All bangers, with the occasional break to let you know what station you were listening to
Is it still around?
Honestly have no idea. It’s been awhile since I’ve lived in that area. It was around Belmont
The online site mentioned in the article “MakeMyMove” seems to have dozens of Indiana cities giving $5000 and more to people to move there. There must be some Indiana-wide grant, because other states don’t seem to offer the same quantity as Indiana.
