Hey,

I’m trying to set up my own lemmy instance but I think I’m doing something wrong or don’t understand federation. I’m using the elest.io automated lemmy build, and I think the site is up and working. I have admin and all that.

But I’m not federated? Or I cant tell if I am?

I expected to be able to connect to other sites in the fediverse and to be able to allow them to connect to me. I’m not sure thats working and I’m not sure if I need to change something in the setup of the lemmy instance or if this is something I would do from the admin console.

Would any experienced lemmings be willing to help me through this
