WBEZ putting the work in so we don’t have to.

As an east coast boy, slice joints are a way of life. I’m excited to try some of these spots out over the Summer (probably via bike because driving in this city is a nightmare. Could be a good group ride idea!?)

Glad to see one of my favorite spots right now getting some much deserved attention: Pizza Friendly Pizza in the UK next to The Empty Bottle. I love a good Sicilian slice.

That deep dish looks like the winner to me. Best of both worlds, pizza by the slice and proper Chicago style pizza!

I live close to Dante’s and it never has disappointed me. Super fast, consistent and the staff are super cool

Im a new york native coming in from the all feed because I like pizza and I was curious to check out your slice culture. Whats up with half the list being NY style? I would expect a list with so much out of town pizza to be more controversial.

Chicago style pizzas arent cut out for a to go slice. Im surprised someone is even doing a deep dish slice to go, sounds like a mess. And as a Jersey kid the crackery thin crust style they got out here just isnt worth the trouble, and they don’t reheat very well.

Im actually not surprised NY style slices dominate this list, they just do it better and are more forgiving to a reheat.

Dante’s and pizza lobo are good but I am going to have to try the deep dish.

Boiler room does one too if you like their pizza (crust has a cornflour feel).

My one wish for by the slice places is that I’d like to try their specialty but I usually only see pepperoni and cheese or something.

I was about to point you in the direction of the World Naked Bike Ride post until I realized you were the person who posted it!

Yeah I’m trying to create a bit of a content cushion for folks who eventually make the jump from the subs.

Im unfortunately going to be out of town for the WNBR(ill try anything once)but ill be at the bike grid now jam tomorrow(I should probably post that), and at the Critical Mass later this month.
