    What’s lemmy.ml stance on Ukraine ?
Users should know. Will you, or other administrators, issue a statement ?

No official stance because why would we involve the instance itself into it? We have our personal stances, that’s it.

that’s very good, i was just afraid of some favoritism, no one is perfect but i guess (±) you are doing a good job.

@AgreeableLandscape @a_Ha Why would there need to be an official position of the instance? It probably shouldn’t be a problem as long as the admins don’t start modding out contents based on whether or not it supports their opinion

except that is exactly what the admins are doing…deleting posts that don’t align with their beliefs and banning the users who may have more insight into the situation

We have specifically refrained from doing that that on Lemmy.ml

In fact, there is an ongoing discussion on whether actual, patently false disinformation (climate change isn’t real levels of patently false) should be removed outright or if leaving them up would be more valuable because the community on Lemmy.ml has been pretty good about calling out a lot of misinformation, the argument for that being that pointing out that it’s wrong could be better than hiding it.

Edit: I see you’re from Lemmygrad, and I also just want to mention that it’s a different instance with different goals and its own rules, so what I say doesn’t apply to that site, because I’m not an admin there.

fair enough! I think I’ll be switching over to Lemmy! Thanks for being a fair mod or admin, I know its hard work
