Long covid doesn’t usually make you a vegetable or something. So it sounded quite extreme

Being a vegetable isn’t the only negative QoL out there. If I have to take several breaks just walking to the mailbox, that doesn’t sound like any sort of quality of life to me.

If you are out of shape you’d rather die than carry on living? Quite drastic if you ask me.

But what’s the likelihood of getting long covid and/or otherwise getting such a debilitating condition that you’d rather die? Can’t be too common

Struggling to walk to the mailbox because a virus permanently disabled you is not the same as being out of shape.

And I’m not pulling this example out of my ass. My shrink’s daughter in law was a mountain climber, trail runner, etc. and after covid she can’t walk to the mailbox without having to stop for a breather.

And she had covid 2 years ago.

It’d mean you’re really out of shape. It’s not a very common effect of covid though.

            Right.
