I let my Sam’s club membership expire and signed up for Costco instead.

You see, my 4 year old refuses to potty train and mommy refuses to let me force the issue. Sam’s club sells size 7 diapers in their house brand. Costco does not. We’ve got about a dozen diapers left.

The ball is in your court mommy. What’s your next nove?

I hear that, and I’ve tried to be patient. But she’s at the age where it’s becoming a social issue. I’ve watched other kids her age make fun of her diapers. She’s my daughter so she’s weird enough on her own.

In my experience it really is an entirely kid lead thing. Your job as a parent is to make them comfortable, knowledgeable about the potty, and facilitate the process. You have to expect possible regressions too. One of mine was constipated once during potty training and as a result refused to poop on the potty for MONTHS after they were pee trained (because they associated the constipation with being on the potty).

Parenting can feel awkward and embarrassing, but just remember, all parents feel that way.
