This actually isn’t capitalism! Regulations from the FCC mandate that any broadcaster using open airwaves like FM radio stations to broadcast an “IDENT” every so often, usually at least once an hour. This is why you hear the random letters in their intro like “WHEG The Fox”, thats their FCC license.
