“A shower once every 11 days is rookie numbers. Besides, no need to shower when you only go to a workplace that has a smell you’ve been desensitized to.” - Me, who works in a factory anywhere from 5-7 days a week from week to week.
No, don’t ask me what my longest stretch without a shower is, you don’t want to know.
I know this is not at all a popular opinion, and I’m reluctant to say it even here on hexbear. But daily showering really is overrated. It can also be bad for your skin microbiome, especially if you use soap with antibacterial properties.
Also hair that goes unwashed for good lengths of time will always be healthier hair than frequently-washed hair, even if it’s with the most expensive bourgsie ass shit shampoo at the salon. Just as an example, you know all those shampoo ads for dealing with split ends? Yeah, just don’t use the shampoo/conditioner at all, letting your natural hair oils build up, conditioning your hair and your “split ends” will be gone or at least markedly better than they would be with any overpriced garbage hair product that promises to cure them.
There is an in between showering daily and showering once a week, and even an in between showering daily with soap or shampoo and showering daily with soap or shampoo on and off.
