One of the reasons I left Reddit and jumped to Lemmy is because Reddit doesn’t care about accessibility. This post should serve as motivation for Lemmy and the Fediverse to do better. How can we make the experience accessible to a wide range of users?

I know the Fediverse has limited resources but focusing on key issues could go a long way to creating a more inclusive experience. I’m curious what actionable steps can be taken to improve the platform.

Also, what Fediverse apps are building in accessible features?

Thank you! Your answer is very helpful. I hope to promote the developers creating accessibilty tools for the fediverse in the future. If you know of any please share. I’m quite busy at the moment but I’d like to explore developing accessibility tools for the platform when I get more time down the road too.
