From what I understand the faction seeking power is also Pro-China so I don’t think it’ll be quite like Ukraine, even if this bullshit is successful.

What do you mean by a “ukraine” situation? Invasion by a foreign power? Unlikely.
More like it already happened and it lead to the creation of Bangladesh. It’s as if Ukrainian nationalists are reading from Yahya Khan’s playbook.
