Or is it just a hedonistic luxury for you?English1·2 years agoIn some ways more than others… it has definitely helped me remember to take my medications. It wakes me up. It reminds me to breathe. Stand up. Reflect. (The last two, it’s really is up to me to do it as warranted). I’m more conscious of my health. It relieves me of carrying a smartphone because I have a phone on my watch. I have maps on my watch. I can stay in touch via msgs. If they add an actual camera so I could FaceTime and take basic photos I’d probably never use my phone.

Dear lord I thought my leather iPhone case was rough 👀… my leather band though has held up well. I have the midnight blue since release.
I own a S8 aluminum. I considered updating to the s9 but while waiting for the released, a great deal I found for a stainless steel S7 Hermes edition. I haven’t worn my S8 since which seals the fact that the s9 wouldn’t have made any marked upgrade value for me. I saved money, got a better build quality and didn’t waste the money on features I never used or wanted. Battery life on my used S7 is 97%. I get all the cool faces and the features I actually want and will use. Hell, even if they added the finger gestures I don’t think I’d use them. I manage a restaurant where all the teens have went to the s9 and outside of showing off the features they never use that feature.

Get a stainless steel version. Looks more traditional with bands. Has a more scratch resistant sapphire glass face.

I feel like it was designed for me… since watchOS 10 I actually use the watch more. It sorta makes sense now. Imo and they brought back the swipe to change watch faces feature with a toggle. That one should’ve been a given but it’s coming in the next release. I’m on the beta
