Exactly. Employees are not cookie cutter duplicates. The more productive ones always have more options, even when you treat them all the same. This is worse for the company than firing people randomly.
Houses are generally cookie cutter because they are easier to build that way. Spaceships are custom made because they are the only thing keeping your insides from boiling in space.
Taiwan will receive 720 Switchblade missiles and accompanying fire control systems worth $60.2 million
That’s $84K per drone missile. Those are comparable to the ones you mentioned. Also, you quoted the internal Lancet price for Russia. Their export price is $35K (and I feel like you are going to have to wait a long time to get any).
The “Altius 600” is the $1 million one. It’s much heavier and has a bigger payload.
They’re not. It’s better to be disk shaped for combat because you present a minimal cross section to an enemy “in front” of you. If you are the attacker, you can chose your attack to face the side of the enemy ship and minimize your own damage / maximize theirs.
A cube is not stealthy and equally easy to hit from all sides. It’s weird that the Borg use it because they don’t think up their own ideas; they just copy. And no other species uses cube shaped ships. This is a minor plot hole.
Not 100%. Nothing in Statistics is ever 100% because of error. But it’s a good guess.
True but what the poster said is important: polls do not work well in close races because they don’t sample correctly. The average poll respondent is older, whiter, and more conservative than the average voter. So you end up with a skewed sample. Plus you sample so few of the other voters that you can’t make a guess as to what they think.
No younger people answer the phone for pollsters, so this is hard to fix. They are probably going to have to start paying people to answer surveys. I know I won’t answer them for 15 or 20 minutes for free.
Does China realize that they don’t look tough by doing this? Do you see American Marines beating up Mexican Coast Guard members? No. Because that’s what an insecure country does.
What is China doing about Israel and Palestine? Nothing, because the current Chinese government only cares about advancing Chinese interests. They are transactional.
That guy is just repeating what he heard on the radio or from some drunk guy at a bar. He’s not putting any thoughts into it.
Besides what you mentioned, there are pre-nups, post-nups, trusts, and other complicated ways that rich families use to protect their assets from gold-diggers. Marriage is a legal contract and it can be modified with other legal contracts.
In a lot of cases, “trust fund kids” don’t even own their house or car. It’s all held in a trust so no one, not even them, can have it. If they divorce there’s nothing to split but some cash and whatever furniture or toys they own.
In practice, I believe the pre or post-nup gives some consideration (money) to the spouse who isn’t rich so they won’t sue. But it’s not 50/50 because the trust fund kid legally doesn’t own much.
These are the people that everyone thought wouldn’t convict Trump. Convicting a white collar criminal is an easy warmup compared to this.
The real answer is to display all the other hundreds of Jewish laws in the classroom too, in the “spirit of the law”. Have a class lesson on Jewish law and its interpretation. Send the kids home asking questions about why cheeseburgers are immoral.
Supply of homes is not dynamic like a factory, it can’t respond quickly to prices. Investors will grumble about whatever they want, but the alternative is a time consuming and expensive sale.
Even then those homes don’t disappear . If they are removed from the rental market they will just end up sold to the very group of people who were renting them, thus reducing demand. Rents would not move much, although there will probably be more real estate sales than usual as the rental market sheds the lazier real estate investors.
That’s not the definition of renewable.
This poll is weighted toward older conservatives. Of course the answer is going to be what a conservative thinks. Lots of polls are doing this now, even though older conservatives are not the largest group.
There’s a huge difference between an older conservative Cuban man in Florida and a younger Mexican woman in LA.
Ukraine used to be part of the Soviet Union with Russia. They have a lot in common culturally. That’s why people are comparing them.
This is progress in the right direction, but people’s minds don’t change just because lines on a map do. But this is progress.
They wouldn’t have to do this if Amazon just paid more. Do investment bankers have a union? Do they work long hours? I wonder why? ($$$)
There are no “time cops” because even existing in the past changes things. It’s impossible to change the past and return to “the present” that you know. It would be a completely different timeline even if you just observe.
Reminder that Biden is decriminalizing weed:
There are already many restrictions on rental agreements. Things that were “normal” before are clearly illegal now.
You can trust the mass produced spaceships if you want, but I think they’ll end up like Boeing.
