That’s the scientific part. Conventional wisdom, on the other hand, is often neither.

Eh, there’s plenty of socialism in practice. But English speaking discourse is dominated by fans of dictators that actively hunted socialists in twentieth century.
Good news, TDD is methylphenidate of software development!
Racism has nothing to do with casualty numbers discrepancy. Gaza Strip is a densely populated area.
Genocide is not a competition, it’s a crime against humanity. I don’t care whether Israel or Russia does it better, I care that both state actors are reveling in it.
Article II In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
The first bloody page. The article you were asked to read.
But what could I expect from someone who thinks genocide is a competition that one could lose if someone else did it better…
You had two options: read one damn sentence or insist on being a tool.
Of course you chose the latter.
Fucking liar.
Article two. Read it, and go silent until you grow a brain, a conscience, or both.
Russia explicitly, openly, and repeatedly states that they desire elimination of Ukrainian nation. Their official stance, repeated by their president and all the state media is that Ukraine and Ukrainians either don’t exist or are a “historical mistake”. Whether they target the entire nation or just the parts they can reach is of no import for the definition of genocide.
In fact, Russia ticks off all five definitions in article two and least points a), c), and d) of article three in Ukraine alone.
It’s because Unix was created by engineers rather than by ui/ux design professionals.
This is somewhat disingenuous. Unix terminal is one of the most ergonomic tools out there. It is not “designed by engineers”, it is engineered for a purpose with user training in mind.
Ergonomics is engineering. UI/UX design is engineering. UX designer that doesn’t apply engineering method is called an artist.
I’m sure people in slavery are really happy with a random someone posting bullshit in an effort to undermine actual efforts to free them.
Entropy is a measure of a number of distinct possible configurations that result in an equivalent outcome.
It’s pure statistics. Given time symmetric laws of nature and a state that can be achieved by a relatively small number of configurations, in the absence of potential barriers, the system inevitably approaches a state that’s achievable by a larger number of configurations. Simply because an elementary change is more likely to fall into the latter mode. Thus, arrow of time emerges.
Try curved induction plate. Wok doesn’t work with flat induction plates because the moment you start moving it, you’re not heating it anymore.
Induction is objectively superior in heating speed and heat control. But if your cooking technique doesn’t work with it, the previous statement is meaningless.
Self-conditioning.
You like people you can have a meaningful interactions with, you are more likely to find sexual partners in that group, you fantasize about current or prospective partners, you end up building an attractiveness pattern that matches a certain age group.
RAM is the fastest and most expensive memory in your PC. It uses energy, regardless of whether you use the memory. Not utilising RAM is a waste of resources.
There’s a reason good monitoring tools draw a stacked RAM chart.
The paradox disappears when you stop considering tolerance to be a moral stance, and recognize it as a social contract.
Those who break the contractual agreements are not protected by contract’s provisions.

They match the sound the same phrase in English produces better than English spelling would. How dare you!
Genocide has five very precise definitions that have no connection to the type of war being waged.
“Who started it” might work in kindergarten. Might.
Israel response is disproportional. It is also a single leaked document or an accidentally honest statement away from showing a clear genocidal intent. For now you could argue that it’s a sparkling ethnic cleansing.
Hamas being open about its genocidal intentions doesn’t render Israel indisputably good.
