Lets try to not throw names around and keep civil please. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, even if we dont agree with them

Just from looking at introductory stuff, I get a weird vibe. Several pages of just reading about it and positivity and how the rule(s) are vague/broad for a reason and its a little offputting. Im sure im just overreacting or something, and im sure everyone there is actually super nice, but ive always been slow to trust, and beehaw sets off alarm bells for me. Do wanna reiterate tho, everyone there does seem very friendly and im sure its great.

So far im still confused, but I’ve learned a lot in the time I’ve been here, so i think I’ll come around. I feel like the main issue I personally have is population of communities and actually finding communities. Ive found a couple ill look at in an asklemmy thread and im sure itll grow over time, but I personally dont have much I can contribute yet, so im not sure how much I can do personally.

I have put destiny 2 on the backburner recently since lightfall came out. I had plenty of frustration before that but the actual state of the game after that was so bad I just had to take a step back from it. Played a bunch of single player games and have been having a blast with them. My only issue is a lot of my friends from destiny keep going back, and I kinda feel compelled to join again. Not that I hate it, I just made a new build i love, but it has departed from its best moments.

Yikes. Are there people like that in lemmy.ml? Ill need to keep an eye out then. Still not completely found my footing in all this yet. Might watch a video or read something to better understand all this soon.

I kinda feel the same. On reddit I find myself deleting the comments before Id make them most of the time. Most people seem fine here, and I feel a lot more comfortable.

Its horrible how things like this happen constantly here in the US, and the thing that people up top focus on is stupid stuff like revoking abortion laws
