Oh that’s tough. I’ve only recently started watching anime in the last couple of years so I don’t have much to draw from, but I really like HunterXHunter, Fullmetal Alchemist, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, Way of the Househusband, and the new Gundam Witch from Mercury.

I don’t think it’s 嗎, looks more like 吧 to me, which also has question like properties. But you’re definitely right about the question mark not being included until much later. The character alone says it’s a question.

It’s actually closer to 1.5 million TOTAL speakers of English. Most English speaking people learned it as a second language.
