i don’t think anyone has them dropping both the Jets and Patriots, the Chargers are always good to lose a winnable high stakes game, the Cowboys and Dolphins still haven’t beaten a team over .500, the Chiefs look more beatable than they’ve looked in years, and the Eagles have allowed turnover prone QBs to rip them apart all season.
it’s unrealistic to say they win out, but it’s also unrealistic to say they go 3-4 to finish the season. maybe a midseason cold streak is just a midseason cold streak and a good team is still a good team after a few losses full of dumb errors at the wrong time. if they get that sub right last night and Lutz misses the field goal, the conversation is completely different. they don’t look like the elite team they’ve been, but to say the window is closing and they are now a losing team is clickbaity overreaction.
calling Dak by his actual first name Rayne is always fun
2020 Eagles OL had a lot of injuries and inexperienced players, and a lot of week to week shifting around to cover for that, but according to PFF they were still one of the better units on the season, and Kelce played 16 games, which always helps
and Carson Wentz still shit his pants that spectacularly
even if Dobbs didn’t put up an absolute stinker, did anyone really think they were gonna sneak into the playoffs from a low wildcard spot? maybe you get lucky and knock off whatever dogshit NFC south team takes the division, then you have likely the Lions, Eagles, 49ers, or Cowboys to get through on the road.
Dobbs playing well enough to keep the team in the playoff race was a nice surprise but this was always going to end. roll with Dobbs, get a proper evaluation on him as a 17 game starter and address this in the offseason properly, not midseason.
