Hitler pretty much just 2 goals, remove all Jews from Germany and kill all Slavs. The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was just because neither the Nazis or the USSR were in any shape to fight each other, so partitioning Poland between them would give both some breathing room in the event the other invaded.
