Do conservatives still believe he isn’t actively trying to destroy the country? Or, worse, believe that a generation of uneducated Americans is somehow going to make us a better country?

    I’m sincerely curious.

If conservatives could read instead of being dumb as fucking bricks they’d be so angry!

Let’s see how long it takes until you dumb mother motherfuckers wake up to what you did. I don’t think it’s going to happen, plenty of people you snowflake can continue to blame. Never took responsibility for anything and you won’t start now.

As a rich white guy my heart goes out to all the people that will be hurt over this administration. And hopefully we can repair everything that will be destroyed. I have very little faith after they elected this orange piece of trash a second time.

      Good fucking job

I think he’s doing awesome. Closing down the dept of education isn’t going to magically and suddenly make kids ignorant. You realize that he’s not closing schools, right?

Not magically or suddenly, but deliberately and surely. Do you really think this is about saving money? Wtf do musk and trump care about government efficiency?

Where? Do you have a list of schools that are being shut down as a result of this?

I didn’t say schools were being shut down. I said that it will result in children being increasingly ignorant. Why do you think that they are shutting down the agency that regulates schools, to save chump change?

Meanwhile they’re drafting an almost 5 trillion dollar tax giveaway for the richest people in the country.

Real money saving group they are.

There would be less funding for schools, especially low income, special education, and rural. Less funding means more uneducated children. That is one example, but the DOE manages grants and loans, oversees civil rights and access, and national education standards and data. These are things that increase education accessibility and quality.

It’s almost like they were responding to the other bullshit claim you made.

And your attempt to misdirect is just pathetifc. Do you think people can’t read what you yourself wrote one comment above?

Without it, certain states can and will say “well this rural town doesn’t really need kids to go to school, they can become factory workers instead.”

Any news articles that show that schools are closing because the Department of Education is being DOGE’d?

Not that I expect someone like you will care about the actual details but he’s only just done it so it’s going to take time for the effects to be felt. This might go over your head but government agencies are huge and complicated entities and when you rip out the heart it takes a while for the limbs to die. The states with robust economies like California, Texas, Illinois, and New York will be fine but poor states like Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi will be seeing school closings before the end of 2025 of this isn’t stopped.

So you have no proof. Just predictions. This is a news article, not a prophesy piece.

Removing aid and oversite will have predictable consequences. Conservative motivations align with the predictable consequences, so it’s not a stretch to say that people will suffer because of this. You can’t have proof of something that hasn’t happened yet, but you can definitely predict. I would love to be wrong.

So if it hasn’t happened, what proof do you have that it will? Why bring it up if it hasn’t happened, and there is no proof that it will happen?

It’s called being able to follow logical consequences.

Removing rules that the worst run state education departments have already been trying to bypass, won’t make those school less bad.

Why would Breitbart, a well known right wing propoganda rag, ever tell you the actual very obviously bad consequences of the actions of right wing politicians’ actions?
