Communism has liberated and continues to liberate people from the yoke of western oppression across the globe. That’s hardly a failure just because it’s not everyone’s preferred form of society.

Any real freedom requires capitalism to first be overthrown, and if people don’t like communist approach for doing that then the onus is on them to come up with a workable alternative. Our planet is literally dying, and we only have a few decades left to prevent the worst case scenarios which include our own extinction. Smoking blunts and making community gardens isn’t going to cut it I’m afraid.

Not going to classify myself as communist or non communist or whatever, but just wanted to mention we may not even have a few decades

The blunt smoking was a joke, i don’t smoke, it kills my lungs, but i am a syndicalist and to me communism either need a governamental revision (not an economist one inherently) so it doesn’t just go absolutism. For me, to have a true representation of the worker class is to go syndicalist, where syndicalist leaders represent each part of the working class, as the workinG class controls the means of production. With Green Syndicalism i mean that part of government but where the efforts are in keeping ecology do its work, to properly balance consumerism, jobs and the environment with the environment taking place in importance. It’s also the easiest, most non-aggressive transition from Capitalism since Syndicalist Unions already exist in the system to represent and do stuff for workers.
