People call it “political correctness” when you want to change things, or pedantry when you want things to stay the same or revert back. I think it’s one of those George Carlin scenarios: Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

Languages evolve, but you’re still allowed to have an opinion about how they should evolve.
People call it “political correctness” when you want to change things, or pedantry when you want things to stay the same or revert back.
