The Chrome team says they’re not going to pursue Web Integrity but…

it is piloting a new Android WebView Media Integrity API that’s “narrowly scoped, and only targets WebViews embedded in apps.”

They say its because the team “heard your feedback.” I’m sure that’s true, and I can wildly speculate that all the current anti-trust attention was a factor too.

    I pay a few bucks each month for email. I already pay for a VPS and own a domain – it wasn’t much more to pay the hosting company for email service.

    Also, fuck spammers. They killed the ability to self host an email server. Sure, it’s “technically” still possible: I did it for a year. But it’s a full time job keeping the thing compliant with anti-spam measures to the point your outgoing mail is actually delivered. And even then some asshole can add an entire ip range to a “spam” blacklist and fuck you, with the only recourse being opening your wallet to get off it.
