    Right looks like a tornado drill. That design would be awful for stopping bullets. And very expensive. Those are nap mats.

        Interesting. But the picture is still showing them using the “bullet proof blankets” during a tornado drill, it says so in the article. It makes no sense to line up down the hall during a shooting.

          None of that invalidates the fact that US schools now have bulletproof blankets and shooting drills. So, not really sure what you’re trying to argue here. Are you claiming that shooting drills and bulletproof blankets aren’t a thing in US schools?

            Nah, after reading the article, I just think its a poorly made meme. They should’ve used the picture of the gun drill, not the tornado drill. The mats are technically dual purpose.

            Edit to add clarification:

            Many who have been in a tornado drill will look at this and see it as a tornado drill, invalidating the message in their minds - just as happened to me.
