I’ll bet this is as good as all of the other comedy sequels that came out decades after the first, like Zoolander 2!

announced the long-awaited sequel to the 1996 film

Nobody was asking for a sequel.

Crikey Gilmore! A washed up baseball pitcher moves down under and takes up cricket for a very convincing reason we will reference exactly once.

How many of these decades later sequels have succeeded? Especially comedy based ones. No thanks adam Sandler

I sure as FUCK hope this is the idea we pitched on lemmy a while back where Happy has a daughter who he is trying to raise to be a golfer, but she sucks at golf and ends up training and becoming an enforcer (idk what the correct hockey position would be) for a hockey team. Happy has to come to terms with his daughter not following the path he set out for her.

So much negativity. I hope it turns out decent, but if it’s not for me then I hope at least a new generation calls it a favourite. Happy Gilmore is one is my favourite films.
