So the wolf wins instead of the wolf in sheep’s clothing.

At least the GOP is open with their stance. Unlike the snake in the grass that is the Democratic party.

One side is absolutely worse. But that doesn’t make the other side automatically good.

Why is the American way to never demand better of our elected officials?

Well every 4-8 years we get these people who say I’m not voting because one issue and then Republicans take over and just absolutely fuck everything up and then people who didn’t vote go oh wow that was bad I’m gonna vote and then we get another centrist Democrat and those same people pick a issue and say I’m not gonna vote, rinse repeat, if you want more progressive candidates the democrats have to keep power for more than 8 years, change is slow and throwing a tantrum and yelling I’m not gonna vote does nothing but maintain the status quo the non voters complain about. Also the reason we get a lot of centrist Democrats is because before the largest voting bloc was boomers which are more conservative so biden appeals to them as they age out the choices will get better but if we lose democracy before then well it will be just one more thing boomers stole from everyone else.

If gore won we wouldn’t have had the Iraq war. If Hilary had won we’d still have Roe v Wade.

Both those elections people said both sides were the same, but the material results are clearly different.

You are simply wrong about the facts.

Joe Lieberman was not dropped. He lost his primary to an antiwar democrat.

Maybe this should be a sign that you should contribute less to conversations and listen more? The rest of us keep having to stop and explain things to you and that is starting to get frustrating. This probably applies to you in real life as well, so keep that in mind the next time you’re talking and see people roll their eyes

It’s time to vote for a repaired system.

    • Congressional Term Limits
    • Supreme Court Term Limits
    • Allow the people to vote on the Supreme Court
    • Do away with the two-party system
    • Stop voting for Old (too old) Wealthy (too wealthy) candidates, the 1% percent does not represent the masses.

There is currently no politician who is out to help the people over themselves.

She maintained, that despite her stance, she is not encouraging people not to vote. “I’m not encouraging anybody to not vote. You do what you want to do, but I’m telling you what I’m doing and that’s it,” she said. "But the more you know, and the more passionate you become, the more you see that our leaders are evil. "She said that people have told her that she needs to “pick the lesser evil” when it’s time to vote this year, but she considers both of them “evil.”

“I’m all for protecting America and for the better of America, but this war is not doing nothing for America and it hurts me,” she said. “Children are dying… I hate that, that disgusts me no matter what religion, no matter what language we speak. We all have one thing in common. We love our children, we love our parents, we love our family.”

People always mad at others for having standards…

You can spend your time convincing them to hold their nose, or convincing politicians to be better.

There’s still 6 months to the election, plenty of time for Biden to pull his head far enough out of his ass to still manage to beat trump. It legitimately wouldn’t be hard.

But that’s where time is best spent. Being loud and demanding more from the people who need votes to win.

Lots of people agree with Cardi on this, she’s just got a microphone.

“I feel like people got betrayed,” Cardi said of Biden. “It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring about nobody. Then, it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any f-----g thing.”

She also said she was concerned about artists of color getting “blackballed” for talking about Israel’s assault on Gaza.

“[America] don’t pay for endless wars for countries that have been going through s— for a very long time,” she said. “There’s countries [where] kids are getting killed every single day, but because the [U.S.] won’t benefit from that country, they won’t help. I don’t like that America has this superhero cape on. We never did things to be superheroes. We did things for our own convenience.”

Americans have needed shit like a functional healthcare system for generations, 80 fucking years now republicans and moderate Dems have said we don’t have the money for it. Even tho it would literally be cheaper than the current system.

But we just got billions laying around to fund a genocide?

If Dems want people to vote, they need to actually be a left wing party and help people. Not just be the absence of more damage. That is undeniably better than more damage, it just doesn’t motivate voters.

I understand people not liking Biden. Or even hating Biden for supporting Israel.

I just don’t want another 4 years of undermining Democracy, women, LGBTQ, non-whites, non-Christians, the poor, peaceful protest, the constitution, etc. Every day I see another headline that is direct fallout from the other guy being president.

And yes, it’s Biden’s responsibility to appeal to voters (which I take into consideration even when he does things I disagree with). The same way I blame Hillary for refusing to listen to anybody. But I’m also blaming any voter who chooses to help put Trump back in office.

Many of these things have continued under Biden. People are deluding themselves if they think that voting for either of the two parties, who have been running the show together for more than a century, will lead to any real solutions.

There’s a very real possibility he could lose this election and what has he done to fix things other than feigned outrage and lip service? If he really cared about any of the things you listed, you’d think he’d be working hard to improve his image and prevent them from happening right?

Because the Dems didn’t want to push the issue at the end of Obama’s term thinking Clinton would get to do it. Then in 2020, a month before the election, allowed Trump to make another appointment again without making a fuss about the obvious hypocrisy with the election being so near.

Yeah totally. And everyone will feel super satisfied for really sticking it to Biden for not providing enough Palestinian aid or pushing Israel hard enough in their opinion, while only holding back some weapons from Israel, and not doing a pointless veto of congressionally allocated funding that would be immediately over ridden by congress. And then when Trump is elected later this year… Let’s see here…

Oh yeah, withdrawing all aid from Palestine (like he did before), helping Israel to “finish the job” in the Gaza strip, and then strike some corrupt deals with Netanyahu and his son in law to divide up all this sweet recently vacated beach front property. And yes, this is the same son in law he put in charge of Israel Palestine peace “negotiations” during his term.

By all means vote for the most progressive politicians you can. But you have to grapple with the current reality of a first past the post voting system, and not voting at all is even more stupid.

I hate all this accelerationist nonsense. Let’s sit out this election and have an authoritarian facist takeover! Surely this will help push the country to the left like we want.
