Like in mediaeval feudal times - we (EU) shall send our ugliest daughter (Hungary) to marry the foreign sovereign (Russia). It will bring peace for a time, but the offsprings (congruences) are sure to be ugly af.
I mean, if that’s what the uggo wants. Consent matters. If they want to join the losing baddies again that’s their decision.
That’s what a girl told me in Budapest when I was there. "If there’s a right side in a conflict, you can be sure Hungary will join the other. "
Seems that Budapest is progressive, but the direction is set by the countryside.
