This is absolutely insane and needs more attention.

Why does this “need more attention”? After Cannon dismissed, it was pretty obvious to anyone paying attention (and was regularly mentioned in coverage of the dismissal) that it wouldn’t get litigated until after the election–if at all, since if Trump wins the election he’ll have the justice department drop the case.

Apparently you didn’t read. He’s trying to get this jumped to people in his Kangaroo Courts, then get it elevated to the Supreme Court whom he thinks will save his ass.

That’s why it needs more attention.

None of this is surprising or new. It’s just a description of the methods of delay. That’s literally the thesis of the article: Trump is trying to delay until after the election, and the government’s filings indicate they aren’t trying to fight that timeline, so Trump was successful.

It was already “jumped” to a friendly court (Cannon), which is why and how it was dismissed for such bizarre reasons. And it is the prosecution of a former president. It was always going to be appealed to SCOTUS. None of this is new. And none of that will matter if Trump is elected.

“Delay until after the election” has been Trump’s strategy for this case since it started.
